What are the Five Elements?
Wu Xing (五行) — Metal, Wood, Water, Fire and Earth — is a traditional Chinese way of describing how things change and balance. In Chinese incense-making it is often used to organise scents into families, the way a perfumer might speak of citrus, floral or woody. We use it the same way: as a map of five moods of scent, not as a claim about health.
